"Music for the Autistic Mind" is an electroacoustic album of ambient music written to be used as a therapeutic tool for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The album was written using current research to inform and justify compositional techniques and decisions (including justifications of dynamics, form, harmony, melody, rhythm, tempo, timbre, texture, and tonality). I hope this music inspires other composer to write music for specific purposes and people with the goal of elevating how we approach music as an overall art form and question how we approach the function of the music we write.
